Data and Code for Diagnosing Subseasonal Soil Moisture Dynamics and Coupling Biases in Earth System Models over CONUS
收藏资源简介:
Reproducibility package for the manuscript “Diagnosing Subseasonal Soil Moisture Dynamics and Coupling Biases in Earth System Models: Implications for Flash Drought Characterization over the Contiguous United States” (Cibaric and Tian, Auburn University; submitted to the Journal of Hydrometeorology). The study evaluates warm-season (May–October, 1981–2014) soil moisture dynamics, flash drought characteristics, and soil moisture–vapor pressure deficit (VPD) coupling in four CMIP6 Earth system models relative to NLDAS-2 across 775 one-degree grid cells over the contiguous United States. This package includes the processed input data, analysis results, Python scripts, manuscript figures, and documentation needed to reproduce the study. Running python run_all.py (approximately 3–5 minutes) reproduces all figures, tables, and numerical results reported in the manuscript and verifies them against the archived results. The original source datasets (NLDAS-2 from NASA GES DISC and CMIP6 outputs from ESGF) are not redistributed. Data sources, processing procedures, and reproduction instructions are documented in the README.
