Effects of spraying Lactobacillus plantarum P-8 on growth characteristics of neonatal piglets

The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of spraying Lactobacillus plantarum P-8 (L. plantarum P-8) fermentation broth in farrowing houses on the growth performance and gut microbes of neonatal piglets. neonatal piglets were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was sprayed with L. plantarum P-8 fermented liquid from 3 days before the expected date of sow to the 7-day age of piglets, while the control group was sprayed the same distilled water. Metagenome sequencing technology was used to combine average daily gain, immune and antioxidant results to assess changes in the gut microbiota and growth of neonatal piglets.
