DOI:10.1111/gcb.15209" There are several items:The document Dacal_et_al_R_Code contains the R code to perform the analyses, whereas the other ones are databases. Specifically,the databases are the following ones:- Dacal_et_al_field_respiration_filled: contains the data of the measurements of soil respiration, temperature and moisture conducted on the field at each sampling date. The gaps on this databased were filled using data imputation.- Dacal_et_al_field_respiration_original: contains the data of the measurements of soil respiration, temperature and moisture conducted on the field at each sampling date. These is the original data with gaps of missing data. -Dacal_et_al_soil_moisture_continuous: contains the monthly mean of soil moisture measured continuously during both sampling periods.-Dacal_et_al_Q10_Cov_filled: shows the data of the temperature sensitivity and the percentage of biocrust cover measured once for both the short- and the longer-term. The gaps on this databased were filled using data imputation.-Dacal_et_al_Q10_Cov_original: shows the data of the temperature sensitivity and the percentage of biocrust cover measured once for both the short- and the long-term. These is the original data with gaps of missing data. -Dacal_et_al_RR: contains the response ratios data (RR) calculated as explained in the material and methods-Dacal_et_al_Thermal_Acclimation: shows the data of soil respiration of the laboratory incubations conducted at 10, 20, 30 and 40ºC with soils colected after nine years of the experiment set-up (longer-term).In all the databases there are two spreadsheets. The spreadsheet "DATA" contains the raw data . The spreadsheet "METADATA" contains the associated metadata, where a description of all the variables and units can be found.
