Root transcriptome sequencing of a large bread wheat panel

A total of 406 worldwide bread wheat accessions were collected and sequenced transcriptomes of seedling root samples. The roots of seedlings 14 days after germination were sampled and were immediately frozen in liquid N2 for the subsequent isolation of RNA. Three seedling roots per accession per biological replication were sampled. The RNA samples of six biological replications for each accession were equally mixed and were subjected to 150 bp paired-end RNA sequencing using the Illumina HiSeq X Ten platform.
