Photographs and Locational Information of 100 Stone Masonry Buildings in Urla Peninsula

This Dataset provides an open-access data comprising locational information on 100 stone masonry buildings located within the Urla Peninsula, İzmir, Turkey. The dataset includes an excel file and 100 jpeg files. Excel file includes the province, district, neighborhood, usage type, and estimated age for each building, alongside the spectral acceleration values (Ss and S1) obtained from the official Turkish Earthquake Hazard Map provided by AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey). Additionally, one photograph per building is included to visually document the architectural character of each structure. The purpose of this dataset is to support academic research by offering a transparent, verifiable, and geographically-specific data source on traditional masonry architecture and seismic risk in the region. It has been prepared within the context of academic work on architectural heritage, structural typologies, and seismic vulnerability assessments. Researchers working on historical structures, urban planning, seismic resilience, or material culture in the Aegean region may find this dataset particularly useful. The dataset contributes to open science principles and aims to facilitate reproducibility and further investigation in related disciplines.
