Crm1, Nucleoporins (nups), and RNA Pol II binding patterns from budding yeast grown in synthetic complete medium containing glucose (SDC)

Crm1 and Nups are important for peripheral localization of many genes. To see where these proteins are binding genome-wide, we created MNase fusions of these proteins and performed ChEC-seq2. Nups and Crm1 were found to bind at and upstream of the promoters of hundreds or thousands of genes, respectively, and showed similarly high signal strength at Nup binding sites. These proteins also showed high correlation with RNA Polymerase II (Pol II) binding. All strains were grown in SDC and experiments were performed in biological triplicate.
