资源简介:
5 photographs of Reservoir no. 2, surrounded by barbed wire and with signs that say, "Private Property" and "Danger - Keep Out," probably in Brea, California, 1942 July 13. "Subject: Reservoir, signs & fence where boy was drowned - Brea Lemon Growers vs Hightower." "Client: Royal Indemnity Co[mpany], Mr. Hall; operator's report - name: Vannice; out of city; Amount: 10.00; 62 miles: Transportation at 7 c[ents] - Amount: 4.34; 2-1/2 hours regular - Amount: 5.00" - on envelope. "Meet Mr. West, manager at Lemon Growers Ass[ociatio]n, 217 So[uth] Pomona Ave[nue], Brea" - on job card. Editor's note: the city was not specified, but the best guess with the existing information is that it was Brea.
