Investigation of microbial community structure associated with biological activated carbon (BAC) and BAC filtered water in the direction of depth

In order to estimate microorganism which contributes to removal of organic matter in a BAC filter, microbial community structures associated with BAC and in BAC filtered water were investigated in the direction of depth. BAC sample was corrected in the direction of depth on 19th December 2016. On 15th November 2016, BAC in backwashing water was sampled. BAC filtered water in the direction of depth was corrected on 6th December 2016 and 17th January 2017. All samples were corrected at C-5 BAC pond in Kanamachi drinking water treatment plant in Tokyo.
