资源简介:
Sufficient immune response is responsible for eradicating pathogens and reestablishing tissue homeostasis. However, in certain patients, immune processes become dysregulated, leading to systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), which often results in life-threatening organ dysfunction. The phenomenon of outgrowing septic shock is associated with a mortality rate of up to 70â80%. The objective of the present data set is to facilitate the identification of transcriptomic signatures associated with the development of sepsis in patients with infection. A total of six patients were included in the study, with blood samples collected at various stages of the disease, ranging from severe septic conditions to periods of temporary improvement and recovery. Following RNA isolation, the mRNA and microRNA levels were determined by NGS. The dataset's significance stems from the fact that more samples of the same patient were analyzed, ensuring that any observed alteration in the transcription levels is related to the change in medical condition. Overall design: RNA-seq profiling (including mRNA and miRNA) of blood sample sets of patients with infection at the stage of severe sepsis, at temporary improvement and recovery.
