Gateway Radial Thoroughfares

<p>Gateway Radial Thoroughfares are designated in Sec. 50-11-362 of City Code and are major radial streets, within and leading to the Central Business District. They were designated in 1999 and generally have a Master Plan designation of “Special Development” instead of the more prevalent “General Commercial”. Because of their significance and acting as gateways to the downtown, various uses are prohibited on these thoroughfares (fully listed in Sec. 50-11-364), such as many manufacturing and industrial/trade service uses, pawnshops, stand-alone carry-out restaurants (those not incorporated into a larger development), used car sales, and marijuana retail/provisioning facilities.</p>
