AIMS BRUVS data for ISRA submission

Coral reef areas of the Great Barrier Reef were surveyed to assess shark and ray diversity and abundance using baited remote underwater video stations (BRUVS). This dataset collates data for multiple projects, including the first global assessment in 2015 and 2016 (Global FinPrint Project), 2019 (GBRF), and 2024 (FinPrint2) to support a submission of Corbett and 13-124 reefs as an Important Shark and Ray Area (ISRA), specifically for grey reef sharks. BRUVS were deployed for 60 min in 2-40 m depth. Data was provided for ISRA reveiw and fact sheet. Data sourced were funded by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.
