Improving thermal efficiency in arid climates: a sustainable rubberized gypsum composite

This study investigates the thermomechanical performance of sustainable building materials for energy efficient construction in arid zones, using M’sila, Algeria, as a case study. An alternative sustainable rubberized gypsum composite was developed by volumetric replacing natural sand with recycled waste (RW). Laboratory experiments quantified the effects of RW content (0–50%) on mechanical strength, density, and thermal properties.
