资源简介:
Supplementary data to: P. Avinipully Anilkumar, T. Wesener, L. Moritz (2024) Integrative description of a new species of the millipede genus Siphonorhinus Pocock, 1894 (Siphonorhinidae) and the first record of the family Siphonophoridae from India (Diplopoda, Siphonophorida). Integrative Systematics 7(2): 1–21; published online 31.XII.2024; DOI: 10.18476/2024.533955
The supplementary data include SEM images and micro-computed tomography (µCT) data of the male holotype of Siphonorhinus parambikulam Anilkumar, Wesener & Moritz, 2024 (ZFMK-MYR9076), deposited at the Zoological Survey of India (Calicut, Kerala, India) and a p-distance table based on COI sequences of materials included the study
Material:
ZFMK-MYR 9076, India, Province Kerala, Palakkad-Thrissur District, Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, Evergreen Forest, Underside of a rotting log, Hand collection, 10º23'42.3"N 76º39'07.2"E, 555 m, 2.XII.2019, leg. A. A. POOJA, P. P. SUDHIN, R. S. ABHIJITH.

µCT: µCT data of the specimen obtained with a a SKYSCAN 1272 (Bruker micro-CT, Kontich, Belgium) at the ZFMK. The specimen was scanned in 96% ethanol. Thermal-drift correction, ring artifact reduction, and digital section reconstruction was done in NRecon 1.7 (Bruker micro-CT, Kontich, Belgium). For scanning and reconstruction parameters see the inlcuded log-file (Siphonorhinidae_sp_MYR09076_14032022_.txt). Grey values and orientation of the image stacks were adjusted in Fiji (ImageJ) version 1.53t (SCHINDELIN et al. 2012). The reconstructed image stack is provided as 8bit-TIFF-files of the sagittal plane, numberd subsequently from right to left.
ZFMK-MYR09076_SEM
SEM: After µCT, the specimen was dissected, dried using a Leica EM CPD 300 critical point dryer, and mounted with conductive tape on aluminum stubs and coated with gold (ca. 35 nm) in a Cressington sputter coater 108auto for 240 seconds. SEM Images were taken with a Zeiss Gemini Sigma 300 VP scanning electron microscop. Images are provided as TIFF-files.
