Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain:UM29 | isolate:UM29 Genome sequencing

This project involves the whole-genome sequencing and analysis of three Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates exhibiting extensive drug resistance (XDR), collected in Morocco. The study aims to provide genomic insights into resistance mechanisms and lineage diversity within XDR-TB strains circulating in Morocco. Genomes were sequenced using Illumina short-read technology, assembled de novo, and assessed for quality. The availability of these high-quality draft genomes will support global TB genomic surveillance efforts and facilitate comparative studies on resistance evolution, with the ultimate goal of informing diagnostics, treatment strategies, and public health interventions.
