Financial Soundness Indicators (FSI), Core and Additional Indicators

The Financial Soundness Indicators (FSIs), developed by the IMF together with the international community, are aimed at supporting macroprudential analysis—the surveillance and assessment of the strengths and vulnerabilities of financial systems. FSIs are macroprudential statistics aimed at filling the gap between macroeconomic statistics and micro-prudential data. FSIs are categorized into "core" and "additional" indicators. Core indicators are essential for all countries, while additional indicators provide more detailed insights into financial stability.
