WeSoSlav-Extended Slovenian sub-database

WeSoSlav-Extended Slovenian sub-database The WeSoSlav-Extended Slovenian sub-database extends the Slovenian sub-database of the Database of the Western South Slavic Verb HyperVerb 2.0 -- WeSoSlav (Arsenijević et a. 2024). It does so by adding additional 2060 annotated Slovenian verbs to the initial 3000 most frequent Slovenian verbs included in WeSoSlav. The list of the newly included 2060 verbs was created by downloading a wordlist of the Slovenian verbs from the CLASSLA-web.sl 1.0 (Slovenian Web) corpus, sorted by the frequency of the verbs. The created list of verbs (starting from the most frequent ones) has then been matched to the list of Slovenian verbs available in WeSoSlaV (Arsenijević et al. 2024), and of those, 2,200 most frequent verbs from CLASSLA-web.sl 1.0 (Slovenian Web) that are not listed in WeSoSlaV have been extracted. Excluded from the resulting 2,200 verbs were all items with typos, which resulted in the final list of 2060 verbs. These verbs were annotated following the instructions developed for WeSoSlaV (Arsenijević et al. 2024). Consequently, the first row includes the same list of properties as the Slovenian sub-database of WeSoSlav. The instructions we followed in the annotation are given in Arsenijević et al (2024).
