Early Bronze Age head

The head belongs to a group widespread in northern Mesopotamia and is specifically to be attributed to the calotte-shaped type. The gender cannot be determined. Heads of this type were always worked separately. They often show grooves on the neck for insertion into a figure. Under the coarse nose, the mouth is never specified. The eyes were placed as discs and pricked in a cone shape, the brows above are marked by scratches. The figure is bald and wears two earrings.
