CO2 emissions - Commercial per capita - WMCA

This is the estimate in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) emissions per head of population for the commercial sector, including from electricity generation and other energy production activities. This sector's emissions are dominated electricity consumption. Carbon dioxide is reported in terms of net emissions, which means total emissions minus total removals of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by carbon sinks. Carbon sinks are any process, activity or mechanism which removes a greenhouse gas, an aerosol or a precursor of a greenhouse gas from the atmosphere.The data show emissions allocated on an "end-user" basis where emissions related to energy use are distributed according to the point of energy consumption. Emissions that are not energy related are distributed based on the point of emission.Except for the energy industry, emissions from the production of goods are assigned to where the production takes place. Therefore, emissions from the production of goods which are exported will be included, and emissions from the production of goods which are imported are excluded.Data is Powered by LG Inform Plus and automatically checked for new data on the 3rd of each month.
