资源简介:
The Powers of Attorney and Trusts Registers were commissioned as the central reference point for Powers of Attorney, and Trust documents lodged with the Regulator. The function of registering and administering these documents was historically assigned to the Registrar-General in NSW. A Power of Attorney document is defined as:[A] legal document made by one person, who is called the principal that allows another person to do things with the principal's money, bank accounts, shares, real estate and other assets, the person who does these things for the principal is called the attorney. After 1967, the function of registering and administering Powers of Attorney and Trusts was transferred to the Office of the Trustee and Guardian. The Powers of Attorney & Trusts Registers had been compiled in stab sewn volumes. A large number of additional, non-standard documents had also been inserted, which provided supplementary evidence and instruction to the original document established by the lodger. As such, the volumes contain a significant number of non-standard format documents, of equal informational value to the Powers of Attorney & Trusts Registers record set as a whole. A selection of the volumes were dis-bound in 2018 to facilitate preservation digitisation.
