Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network

The conserved Rat-Human BMI Network is a network of 657 genes highly proximal to BMI GWAS hits from humans and rats. Sets of significant genes from human and rat GWAS were independently propagated on the Parsimonious Composite Network (PCNet v1.3) using the network colocalization (NetColoc) approach. All genes were scored based on their normalized proximity within the network to the input gene sets. Genes with high proximity to both input sets are defined as "conserved BMI genes" and included in the Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network.
