Digital Data from a Magnetometer Survey at North Tawton Primary Substation, North Tawton, Devon 2022

This collection comprises geophysics data, a CAD vector drawing and GeoTIFF files from a Magnetometer Survey by Archaeological Surveys Ltd at land south of North Tawton Primary Substation, North Tawton Devon. The survey was carried out in June 2022 over 1.5 hectare acre ahead of a new battery storage facility.
The survey was carried out using a hand-pushed, cart-based system with 5 sensors mounted 0.5 metre apart.
The results indicate the presence of a possible linear, ditch-like feature and a number of discrete positive responses that appear to relate to pit-like features of uncertain origin. Numerous anomalies of natural origin have also been located along with a previously mapped field boundary, evidence for agricultural activity and magnetic disturbance from ferrous material and services.
