Prophylactic Antibiotics in Anorectal Surgery – Systematic Review Dataset

This dataset compiles data from a systematic review and meta-analysis evaluating the use of prophylactic antibiotics in elective anorectal surgery. It includes the number of postoperative complications reported in each study for patients who received antibiotics versus those who did not. Postoperative outcomes include surgical site infection, wound dehiscence, abscess formation, sepsis and recurrence.
