This dataset is a 1-km remote-sensing product of global Gross Primary Productivity (GPP) over a long time series from 2001 to 2020. Based on site flux observation data, remote sensing data such as vegetation photosynthetically active radiation absorption ratio (FPAR), and reanalysis meteorological data such as temperature, precipitation, and radiation, the global cropland GPP was estimated by using an improved Light Use Efficiency model (EF-LUE), which introduced a new parameterization scheme to account for the soil water stress and was optimized for cropland ecosystems in different global climate zones. The spatial resolution of the dataset is 1-km, the temporal resolution is yearly, and the format is GeoTIFF. The GPP data unit is gC/m2, and the conversion coefficient is 0.01.
