This project is to investigate the SNPs related to the effects of superovulation in Suffolk sheep. Two hundreds of Suffolk sheep were superovulated, and the number of embryos obtained from each individual were recorded. Then, thirty individuals with the number of embryos more than 13 (high group), and thirty individuals with the number of embryos less than 10 (low group) were sampled. The genomic DNA from each group were isolated and pooled together for resequencing. The selective sweep and SNP-index methods were used to screen the candidate SNPs related to the effects of superovulation in Suffolk sheep.
