This study aims to localize quantitative trait loci underlying interspecific variation in both male calling song pulse rate and female peak preference for male song pulse rate in the Laupala genome, test hypotheses on the genetic architectures underlying sexual trait-preference coevolution, and provide candidate genes underlying behavioral barrier to gene flow and speciation.
