Data and code for historical railway mapping and sectoral CO2 emissions in the Henan Yellow River corridor and adjacent provinces
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains data, code and supporting documentation for a historical geoinformatics analysis of railway-network intensity, sectoral CO₂ emissions and land-cover characteristics in ten Henan Yellow River corridor cities and an extension cohort of 17 cities in Shanxi and Shaanxi. The analysis combines historical OpenStreetMap railway snapshots, 2019–2024 Carbon Monitor municipal emissions, land-cover information and spatial sensitivity diagnostics. Update in this version This version retains the analytical release previously published at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22930558 and adds Figure1_Reproducibility.zip. The supplement provides the plotting code and inputs for Figure 1 and supersedes the earlier Figure 1 cartography instructions. It does not change the analytical data, correlation results, cohort-selection decisions or Figures 2–7. Figure 1 reproducibility The supplement includes make_fig1.py, data_geo.py, input tables, source documentation and checksums. The regional panels are generated from documented geographic inputs and archived municipal tables. Candidate-city overlap percentages use the exact values in scope_all_candidates.csv. Circle areas represent archived 2024 whole-municipality CO₂ emissions, not emissions restricted to the Yellow River basin. City locations are Wikidata urban-centre coordinates, not municipal polygon centroids. Administrative boundaries are deliberately omitted. Yellow River geometry comes from Natural Earth at 1:10 million scale. The display uses a spherical Albers equal-area conic projection with standard parallels of 25°N and 47°N, central meridian 110.5°E, latitude of origin 36.5°N and sphere radius 6371 km. The original China standard map GS(2022)4316 is not redistributed in the supplement. It must be acquired separately under its applicable terms to reproduce the complete three-panel composition. File restoration The original 15 files restore the 87-file analytical dataset using restore_dataset.py. Extract the additional Figure1_Reproducibility.zip separately and follow its README. Instructions for obtaining third-party inputs that are not redistributed are included in the archived documentation. Licensing and attribution The record-level CC BY 4.0 license applies only to author-owned text and eligible non-OSM outputs. Author-owned code is licensed under MIT. OpenStreetMap-derived databases remain subject to ODbL 1.0 and attribution to OpenStreetMap contributors; they are not relicensed as CC BY 4.0. Wikidata structured coordinates are CC0, and Natural Earth data are public domain. HydroBASINS and other third-party materials retain their respective source terms. Consult LICENSES.md and cartography/THIRD_PARTY_SOURCES.md before reuse. The record-level license does not override these source-specific conditions. Source limitations The Yulin source-key assignment is author-confirmed and does not independently verify the emissions provider’s spatial masks. The plotting supplement documents a mismatch between the Tongchuan display coordinate and its corresponding fixed GADM analytical polygon; the coordinate has not been moved to force polygon membership. City locators and HydroBASINS screening geometry should not be interpreted as authoritative administrative boundaries.
