Strategic and operational plan of communication with local communities in projecting low and medium radioactive waste repository

The purpose of this study was in to produce a communication strategy for locating and compiling a permanent low and intermediate level waste and concrete operational communication plan with the affected local communities. The survey was based on theoretical findings on attitudes to risk of technology in high modern societies and from practical experience with the current regulation of this problem in Slovenia. The result was an review of key principles for interactive communication with local communities. Concrete operating plan was devised on this base for communication with local communities about moving radioactive waste and about arranging of permanent repository.
