P.sojae 454 genomic sequences from isolate P7064, P7074 and P7076

There are four major genotypes of Phytophthora sojae, identified by the type isolates P6497 (genotype I), P7076 (genotype II), P7074 (genotype III) and P7064 (genotype IV) (Foster et al, 1994). All extant isolates of P. sojae are related to one of these four genotypes by linear descent or by a sexual cross between two genotypes. Analysis of RFLP alleles distributed among the four genotypes suggests that the four originate from a common sexually reproducing population, but the location and provenance of that population is unknown. A high quality sequence assembly of P6497 was previously developed. In the current project, 454 sequencing of P7076, P7074 and P7064 has been carried out.
