Replication Data for: Law and Politics in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. A New Database on Judicial Behavior and Compliance in the IACtHR

We introduce a new database on contentious cases from the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR). The database contains information on case proceedings, judicial behavior, judgment content, the actors involved, and compliance with remedial orders. The current version of the database contains data on 184 IACtHR cases, which is about 75% of all cases to date. The database will continue to be expanded, but is already made available to the scholarly community. It will be useful to scholars and practitioners specifically interested in the IACtHR, but also to test and develop general theories of judicial politics in an under-researched context.
