This dataset contains next-generation sequencing data regarding changes in the whole transcriptome of Daphnia magna following a 7-day exposure to the estimated concentration of cadmium (Cd) promoting 20% immobility (EC20) in previous assays. It comprises RNA sequences obtained from daphnids exposed to a control and a Cd-EC20 treatment, which have been minimally processed before deposit (see the associated Readme file for details). This dataset was produced as part of a larger study that envisages the deep characterization of the molecular and phenotypic effects of Cd in this model freshwater crustacean zooplankter, towards feeding the building of related adverse outcome pathways that consider DNA methylation as a molecular initiating event.
