VPRS 15721 Uncatalogued Departmental Publications

This series consists of a range of publications produced by the Ministry of Education and Training and successors. These were found with a collection established by the Education Department Library set up to function as a deposit collection of "historical" publications (refer to VPRS 15609). None of the items in this series were catalogued, unlike all of the publications in VPRS 15609 which were controlled by a library card catalogue (refer to VPRS 15720).The series holds a variety of materials similar to those found in VPRS 15609 such as published and internal reports, student course outlines and other curriculum support materials, school magazines/newsletters and publications relating to Departmental surveys, policy initiatives, procedures and budget. Individual items were either found alongside VPRS 15609 or within a sequence of alphabetically arranged magazine boxes.It is unclear how these items came to be held with VPRS 15609. It is likely that these were items received by either the Departmental Library or the Education History Unit (which respectively established and subsequently maintained VPRS 15609) but were unable to accession the items into the Collection prior to the closure of the Collection and Unit.
