[Problem] To provide a molded body of cellulose fibers which has improved tensile elastic modulus， preferably a molded body of cellulose fibers which also has improved tensile strength， and a method of manufacturing the same. [Solution] This molded body X of cellulose fibers comprises cellulose fibers as a main component， wherein the cellulose fibers include pulp P and fibrillated fibers C and the fibrillated fibers C include microfibrillated cellulose. To manufacture the molded body X， slurry S of cellulose fibers is prepared using the pulp P and fibrillated fibers C， wet paper is formed from the slurry S of cellulose fibers， and the wet paper is dehydrated， pressured and heated. Microfibrillated cellulose or microfibrillated cellulose and cellulose nanofibers are used as the fibrillated fibers C.
