Artificial Intelligence Use in Asian Digital Commerce Ecosys-tems and Decision-Making among Peruvian Importers: Evi-dence from Importa Fácil Users
收藏资源简介:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into Asian digital commerce platforms, yet evidence on its relationship with sourcing decisions among importers in emerging economies remains limited. This study examined the relationship between AI use in Asian digital commerce ecosystems and decision-making among Peruvian importers, with an indirect link to Sustainable Development Goal 12 (responsible consumption and production), as sustainability indicators were not measured. A quantitative, cross-sectional, nonexperimental study with a descriptive–correlational scope was conducted. A structured 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire was administered to 384 Peruvian importers who use Importa Fácil and were selected through nonprobability convenience sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS v.28. The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test indicated nonnormal distributions; therefore, Spearman’s rank correlation was used. AI use was strongly, positively, and significantly associated with decision-making (ρ = 0.666; p < 0.001). Of the five dimensions of AI use, operational and documentary automation had the strongest association with decision-making (ρ = 0.631), whereas trust, ease of use, and perceived security had the weakest (ρ = 0.380). The correlational design and nonprobability sampling preclude causal inference and generalization to all importers. The findings suggest that AI can support import decisions when complemented by human verification.
