A needs analysis for institutional analytics-dataset
收藏资源简介:
This Zenodo record contains the supplementary materials associated with the research paper “A Needs Analysis for Institutional Analytics”. The study investigates institutional stakeholders’ decision-making needs that can be supported by Institutional Analytics (IA) in higher education. Through semi-structured interviews with 10 stakeholders—including heads of studies, program administrators, and study counselors—the research identifies areas where IA can inform strategic planning and improve adoption across institutions. Two complementary analytical approaches were applied: Thematic Analysis — captured in the file Codebook_thematic_analysis.xlsx, which presents the manually coded themes and subthemes derived from interview transcripts. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) Topic Modeling — implemented in the notebook LDA_topic_modeling.ipynb, which provides a transparent, reproducible pipeline for extracting latent topics from stakeholder narratives. Together, these files document both the qualitative and quantitative components of the study’s mixed-methods analysis.
