抗生素抗性基因(ARGs)的流行和传播导致细菌耐药性越来越强,对人类健康威胁巨大。本数据库以环境中抗生素抗性基因的时空分布为主题,整合了通过高通量定量PCR技术检测分析得到的来自多种生境(水、土、气、沉积物、灰尘)的抗生素抗性基因丰度数据,还包含了与抗生素抗性基因转移有关的可移动遗传元件的丰度数据。本团队研发了全球领先的环境抗性基因高通量定量检测技术,基于团队前期优势抗性基因分布数据积累,汇集形成本数据库。目前已经收集2013年至2020年期间,我国18个省份基因丰度数据将近30万条。抗生素抗性基因涵盖了环境中常见的大部分抗生素抗性基因类别,如氨基糖苷类、磺胺类、四环素类、β-内酰胺类、氟喹诺酮类、糖肽类、大环内酯-林可酰胺-链霉素类和多药抗性基因等。数据库可为ARGs分布以及健康风险研究提供数据支撑。
The prevalence and spread of Antibiotic Resistance Genes (ARGs) have led to escalating bacterial drug resistance, posing a severe threat to human health. This database focuses on the spatiotemporal distribution of environmental ARGs, integrating abundance data of ARGs from diverse habitats (water, soil, air, sediment, dust) detected and analyzed via high-throughput quantitative PCR technology, alongside abundance data of mobile genetic elements (MGEs) associated with ARGs transfer. Our team has developed a globally leading high-throughput quantitative detection technology for environmental antibiotic resistance genes, and compiled this database based on accumulated distribution datasets of dominant ARGs from our prior research. Up to date, we have collected nearly 300,000 entries of gene abundance data from 18 provinces in China over the period 2013 to 2020. The ARGs covered in this database encompass most common environmental ARG categories, including aminoglycoside resistance genes, sulfonamide resistance genes, tetracycline resistance genes, β-lactam resistance genes, fluoroquinolone resistance genes, glycopeptide resistance genes, macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin (MLS) resistance genes, and multidrug resistance (MDR) genes. This database can provide robust data support for research on ARGs distribution and associated health risks.
