Church attendance in Christchurch, 1962

The purpose of the study was to acquire an insight into the religious interests of the people of Christchurch. The questionnaire was designed to test a number of general hypotheses regarding denomination, age and the differences in church attendance between such groups. The questionnaire contained only a small number of questions most of which were background variables covering the respondent's sex, marital status, age, religious denomination, education and occupation. Questions on church attendance included self-perception of general church-going habits and questions on activities occurring on the Sunday prior to interview.
