资源简介:
The heavy organic waste accumulation at shrimp pond bottoms gradually cause oxygen depletion that leads to anaerobic conditions and release of potentially toxic compounds such as sulphide. Sodium molybdate treatment has a potential to control sulphide production through inhibition of sulphate reduction process. In this research, a shrimp pond model was used to simulate organic waste accumulation and development of a sediment layer during shrimp culture. Microelectrodes were used for non-invasive measurement of O2 and H2S for 61 days of the experiment. The key hypothesis is that molydate application before oxygen depletion (e.g. waste load of day of culture and onwards) could prevent sulphide accumulation and shift microbial communities and change relative abundance of SRB in long-term.
