VPRS 14673 Keyword Index Cards to General Correspondence Files (Master Microfiche Copy of VPRS 9468)

The Keyword Index Cards indexed frequently requested correspondence and files in VPRS 6008 General Correspondence Files, Annual Single Number Systems. The series was created to facilitate retrieval of files and eliminate the need to tediously search for files using a number of other controlling records in existence at the time. Correspondence and files were indexed in this series only as the need arose - if it was likely that they would be needed again.Microfiche copies appear to have been made in the mid 1980s. At that time, the Rural Water Commission was experimenting with the introduction of microfiche to many sectors of the agency.
