Replication data for: Population Ageing and Prostate Cancer Burden in China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea: Demographic Decomposition and an Ecological Benchmark of Heavy Episodic Drinking, 1990–2023

This is the replication package for the manuscript "Population Ageing and Prostate Cancer Burden in China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea: Demographic Decomposition and an Ecological Benchmark of Heavy Episodic Drinking, 1990–2023" (submitted to Cancer Medicine). It contains all data and code required to reproduce every table and figure in the main text and supplementary material. All data are publicly available, aggregated, and de-identified; no individual-level records are included. Contents:• 01_raw_data: 17 source CSV files — 13 GBD 2023 files from the IHME GBD Results Tool (including SDI), 3 WHO GISAH/Global Health Observatory files (male heavy episodic drinking prevalence, male average daily alcohol intake, beverage-specific recorded per-capita consumption), and 1 World Bank file (GDP per capita, PPP).• 02_integrated_dataset: Master_Workbook_Integrated_v3.xlsx (5 sheets: panel data, the balanced 2000–2019 analysis panel of 60 country-years, age-specific data, data dictionary, and QC report).• 03_code: integrate.py (builds the integrated workbook) and five R scripts (trends, Das Gupta decomposition, panel models, figures, Monte Carlo uncertainty propagation).• 04_results: Results_Tables.xlsx (all tabulated outputs).• README.md: full source-to-output mapping and reproduction instructions. Analyses were run with R 4.6.1 and Python 3 (pandas, openpyxl); random seeds 20260831 and 2026. GBD 2023 estimates remain subject to IHME data-use terms and must be attributed to IHME.
