资源简介:
This dataverse contains data and R-analysis scripts from a project investigating the relationship between speech perception and production. Specifically, we investigated whether syllable repetition (Production group) would lead to better syllable discrimination in noise compared to syllable discrimination in quiet (Perception group). We first tested our hypotheses in a cohort of young adults (Experiment 1). In Experiment 2, we manipulated the modality of stimulus presentation during priming tasks (auditory vs. visual). In Experiment 3, we varied the delay between priming and SiN tasks (no delay vs. one-hour delay). In Experiment 4, we studied the effects of speech motor priming on older adults to understand how production and perception interact across the lifespan.
