We analyzed endometriosis tissues of OEC (ovarian endometrial cyst), SPE (superficial peritoneal endometriosis), and DIE (deep infiltrating endometriosis) by scRNA-seq to find the followings: (i) distinct cellular subpopulations in endometriosis, (ii) different molecular signatures between normal and endometriosis subtypes, (iii) cellular signatures that could explain endometriosis phenotypic manifestations.Twenty endometriosis (OEC, SPE, or DIE) tissues from the 15 patients and an eutopic endometrium (EuE) from one of the patients were collected in this study.
