Data for: Multinational Production and Comparative Advantage

This is the dataset constructed for the paper "Multinational and Comparative Advantage" by Vanessa Alviarez. The data contains information about the foreign activity of multinational corporations at the source-location-sector level, covering 9 tradable sectors and a non-tradable sector, in 32 countries for the period 2003-2012. For this purpose, we combine data of the activity of foreign affiliates (production, employment, and number of establishments) provided by four major databases: OECD, Eurostat, BEA, and Orbis. The appendix of the paper provides a detailed description of this dataset. The included Readme file describes the included datasets and programs that replicate the tables and figures in the paper.
