Share of Japanese films among theater releases in Japan 2014-2023

Japanese movies accounted for 54.9 percent of the movies shown in Japanese theaters in 2023, which was a slight decrease compared to the previous year. Accordingly, the share of international films increased to 45.1 percent.2023年，日本电影院放映的电影中，日本电影所占比例为54.9%，较上一年度略有下降。相应地，国际电影的份额上升至45.1%。
