-Recovery Region shapefiles used to define GCWA breeding habitat extents for "A spatiotemporal assessment of 2020 Golden-cheeked Warbler breeding habitat and change over time" by Colgan, Kevin; Jensen, Jennifer; Duarte, Adam; Krause, Samantha (2023)
-recovery_2020_wo_waterbodies.shp contains polygons for RRs 1 - 8.
-recovery_2020_wo_waterbodies_dissolve.shp defines the the GCWA breeding range extent
Data coordinate information: WGS 84 / UTM zone 14N
-Similar methods described by Groce et al. (2010) were used to delineate GCWA Recovery Regions (RRs) using political boundaries. Common county lines are used to divide the range into eight county groups that similarly represent the regions defined in the USFWS 1992 GCWA Recovery Plan.

-Public waterbodies were removed from the shape interior using data provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ; https://gis-183tceq.opendata.arcgis.com/)
