Bacteria community from Drosophila melanogaster larvae and their environment, in 3 larval density conditions

Larval crowding represents a complex stressful situation arising from interindividual competition for time and space limited resources. The foraging of a large number of individuals may alter chemical and bacterial composition of food, and in turn affect individuals. Here we investigated whether larval density alter the bacterial diversity inside the gut of larvae and if these changes match those of their environment.
