Rotterdam Atmospheric Measurement Network RAMN - Davis002 weather station data at De Zweth

<strong>Description:</strong> In-situ measurements of temperature, pressure, relative humidity, rain and wind by a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station named "Davis-002" at de Zweth in the Netherlands. Situated approximately 7 km to the North West of Rotterdam, and 4 km South East of Delft campus, Zweth is a small town along the Schie river, at the intersection of the historical areas of Delfland and Schieland. The same site also features a micro-rain radar "MRR004_DeZweth" (since February 2022), replaced by "MRR006_DeZweth" (since August 2022) and a Parsivel optical disdrometer "PAR005_DeZweth" (since February 2022) operated by the Ruisdael Observatory. All sensors are placed on top of an air quality monitoring container belonging to TNO, at a height of approx. 4 meters.<br><strong>Format:</strong> Each NetCDF file covers a full month of observations. The temporal resolution is 1 minute. Data are provided "as is", without any post-processing. The NetCDF files contain all relevant information about all the variables, attributes and units. The global attributes of the NetCDF files contain important information about the type of sensor, logging software, project contributors and history of the dataset. If a monthly file is missing, no data are available for this month.<br><strong>Relevance:</strong> Weather station data provide useful information about local variations in temperature, humidity, wind and precipitation up to a few hundred meters around the observation site. Collecting good weather data in urban environments is challenging but crucial for understanding and managing the unique micro-climates created by dense buildings, infrastructure, and human activities. This data can be used for scientific purposes, to support urban planning, public health, and climate adaptation strategies. The Rotterdam Atmospheric Measurement Network RAMN was established with the help of TU Delft strategic funds, in collaboration with the Ruisdael Observatory at TU Delft.<br><strong>Notes:</strong> This dataset is updated approximately every 3 months. Please reach out to the authors if you wish to get access to the most recent data.<br><strong>Known issues:</strong>Due to a technical issue, the data between October 25, 2023 and June 24, 2024 are missing.
