In our study, we performed the 16S rRNA gene sequencing on fecal samples of SD rats fed with the basal diet, high-fat diet and TFAs diets for 8 weeks to investigate the effects of TFAs / high-fat diets on obesity and gut microbiota composition. Our results exhibited that the TFAs / high-fat diets significantly induce obesity in rats, and indicated that an association between TFAs / high-fat diets and dysfunction of gut microbiota. The aim is to provide a new target to treat obesity and its associated diseases.
