资源简介:

Experimental dataset accompanying the paper “Towards a Realistic Model of Lava Flow Crust Coverage”, which investigates the kinematics and surface coverage of crust on flowing lava. The experiments provide a laboratory-scale analogue of crusted lava flow, using golden syrup as the fluid phase and wheat flour as the crust analogue. Full details of the experimental setup and methodology are provided in the associated article. This dataset consists of videos from two experiments performed under identical conditions. In each experiment, the fluid layer was 1 cm deep within a channel of width 5 cm inclined at 10°. The deposited flour layer had a surface mass density of of 0.53 ± 0.07 kg m-2. Videos were recorded in real time at 24 frames per second using a Nikon Z6II camera and cropped to remove extraneous regions of the frame.
