VPRS 9936 Subject Correspondence Files: Manager (Roy Liddlelow)

This series comprises files containing inward and copies of outward correspondence created by the Manager of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (VA 1002), Roy Liddlelow. Mr Liddlelow was appointed Commercial Manager to the SECV in 1928, and Manager in 1931. He was employed in that position until his retirement in 1951. The correspondence concerns the areas the Manager was required to supervise including budgets, accounts, merchandising, the acquisition of the Melbourne Electric Supply Company, staff matters and tariffs.This series commenced in 1928 upon the appointment of Mr Liddlelow as Commercial Manager, and ended in 1951 upon his retirement. The contents of the series date from 1921 as the files contain correspondence and other documents from his term as Secretary to the Commissioners from 1919 to 1928.
