ChatGPT Corpus of Academic Writing (GPT-CAW) is a corpus of academic essays compiled in 2024 using ChatGPT -3.5. It comprises 75 texts of 44,290 words. The corpus was originally designed to replicate The Varieties of English for Specific Purposes Database (VESPA) in order to assess the extent to which the AI model can replicate the intricate nature of academic writing.
